I am glad that you would like to try flax weaving - I think it would be pretty cool too! I quite like doing crafty things that make me have to problem solve...I started to teach myself how to macrame two years ago and that reminds me of flax weaving a little bit! Lots of problem solving :)
That's a great idea to make your Mum a handbag! It's always good to have a backup - Have you seen a video online that show's you how to make one? I am sure she would love a flax bag... maybe for her birthday or Mother's Day?
